OHU graduate Jane Peterson BSc, RDH is pioneering a new business model

After graduating from OHU, Jane carried out a survey to establish care staff’s perception and knowledge of the mouth. She subsequently identified a general lack of basic oral care in care homes that she visited and then began her mission to change this.

She began by starting her own business, Knowledge Oral Health Care, offering her services as a dental care professional to train the staff in care homes so that they could deliver best practice for their patient’s.

Jump forward to 2021 and Jane now has a team of 200 dental hygienists and dental therapists in UK who are delivering accredited oral care training to health care professionals and caregivers.
